Computer-aided facility management system at Wiener Linien
Public transport operators are mainly perceived in connection with passenger transport. The fact that they also have numerous objects and facilities to look after is often not realised from the outside. The Wiener Linien GmbH & Co KG, operators of local public transport in the Austrian capital, have them in focus:
From office buildings to underground stations, a large proportion of all facilities and objects are now in a Computer supported Facility Management System (CAFM) is recorded. The goal is to operate them more economically. Integrated into a comprehensive digital strategy, however, this marks only the beginning.
