IMSWARE.IMPORT - New module simplifies the migration of data
With the revised module IMSWARE.IMPORT now simplifies IMS the migration of a wide variety of dates into the in-house CAFM system, The Import module understands simple Excel sheets just as well as XML and IFCbased formats as well as other proprietary data structures for the e-bill.
With the import module, IMS systematises tasks that are constantly present in customer projects. "Whether data transfer from simple lists during the initial installation of an CAFM solution or migration from another system - ultimately it is always about transferring existing structures to the new system in a sensible way," says Michael Heinrichs, Managing Director of IMS.
To simplify these tasks and support them with an ergonomic interface, IMS has further developed the module. The module can be configured in many ways for complex import tasks and special requirements. For the security of the import, the module offers monitoring functions and undo options, and it also masters the time-controlled, recurring import.
IMSWARE.IMPORT can handle a wide range of data structures. These include commonly used formats such as Excel sheets and XML files as well as BIM- and building-specific formats, for example IFC and commercial structures for electronic invoicing. Even proprietary data structures can be processed with IMSWARE.IMPORT. Complex imports are prepared and carried out by the manufacturer itself.
"Due to the extensive configuration of the import, data transfers can be made from standard tools and formats as well as from data stocks of other manufacturers," says Heinrichs.
With tools like IMSWARE.IMPORT, IMS offers complex tools to speed up preparation and simplify standardized tasks in projects.
IMS supports its customers with 30 years of experience and also carries out extensive migrations at fixed prices.
