Energy reference area

Energy reference area (EBF): The EBF is the sum of all above and below ground floor areas that require heating or air conditioning. The EBF is calculated gross, that is, from the external dimensions, including delimiting walls and parapets. In the case of residential buildings, the EBF normally corresponds to the gross floor area BGF used for the occupancy rate.
