operator responsibilities

Operator obligations relate to any natural or legal person in possession of technical equipment and describe the specific obligations of the operator with regard to his or her technical equipment. The operator obligations are manifold, they exist, for example, object-specific for tank farms, but also globally on the basis of laws such as the Water Resources Act or the Federal Immission Control Act. In order to fulfill its obligations as an operator, an operator must have a complete documentation of installation, maintenance, up to technical examinations for each of his technical installations and of course also have carried out the relevant work. Information on operator obligations can be found, inter alia, in various DIN standards and the Industrial Safety Ordinance.
