R / 3

A few years ago, SAP R / 3, which was largely redeveloped in 1992 from the mainframe-oriented predecessor SAP R / 2, had only one monolithic ERP software from the manufacturer. It consists of modules that are functional but not architecturally separate. These are essentially: FI (Finance), CO (Controlling), MM (Materials Management), SD (Sales and Distribution), PP (Production Planning) and HR (Human Resources). These modules continue to form the core of the functionality that SAP users use.
